The Malaysian Book Publishers Association (Mabopa) and Malaysian Booksellers Association (MBA) have urged their members with official distribution rights of school textbooks and workbooks to increase stock allocations on their Shopee stores to address the nationwide distribution issue.

International Publishers Association (IPA) publishing a joint statement about the importance of books and calling on governments around the world to support our industry alongside the International Authors Forum, the European Publishers and Booksellers Federation, IFRRO and STM in conjunction with the celebration of The World Book Day last 23 April 2020.

MABOPA menggesa supaya kerajaan memberikan perhatian khusus kepada kejatuhan industri buku tempatan. Industri kreatif, budaya dan intelektual ini sedang berdepan dengan pelbagai cabaran; disrupsi digital, kejatuhan jualan retail, kejatuhan pembelian perpustakaan, dan kelemahan tabiat membaca buku.

Malaysia di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia telah dengan rasminya menandatangani MOU bersama UNESCO untuk projek Kuala Lumpur sebagai Ibu Kota Buku Dunia 2020 (KLWBC2020) pada 23 September 2019.

Majlis Makan Malam Gala 50 Tahun MABOPA akan disempurnakan oleh YB Tuan Haji Khalid bin Abd. Samad, Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan pada 25 April 2016, Khamis jam 8.00 pm- 11.00 pm di Topaz Ballroom, One World Hotel, Selangor.

Persatuan Penerbit Buku Malaysia (MABOPA) dan Frankfurter Buchmesse dengan kerjasama Perbadanan Kota Buku akan menganjurkan Publishers Workshop, Conquering The Challenges - Successful Publishing Today.

Jualan siber adalah jualan dalam talian yang dijalankan melalui internet bagi tahun kedua kalinya. Urusniaga jual beli ini dibuat melalui laman web eCommerce atau eMarketplaces dari kedai-kedai dalam talian di Malaysia dengan menawarkan produk dan perkhidmatan masing-masing pada harga yang istimewa. Ia akan berlangsung dari 28 September - 2 Oktober 2015.

Pendaftaran untuk ASEAN Ebook Conference kali ke dua dibuka sekarang. Pada AEC kali pertama dalam tahun 2012, kita melihat perkembangan yang berlaku sekitar rantau ASEAN sahaja. Dalam tahun ini kita akan melihat kepada perkembangan dalam dua pasaran ebook paling besar - India dan China.

Malaysia sebagai Negara Tema dalam Tokyo International Book Fair 2014 yang akan dianjurkan oleh Institut Terjemahan Negara Malaysia (ITBM). Acara ini bakal berlangsung pada 2-5 Julai 2014 di Tokyo Big Sight, Jepun.

Taklimat ini telah disediakan oleh Pejabat Pengurusan Program (PMO Inisiatif ICT), Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. Ia telah diwakili oleh Encik Shafie dari Pejabat Pengurusan Program, Encik Jasmadi dari Bahagian Buku Teks (BBT) dan Encik Teh Boon Hai dari Bahagian Teknologi Pendidikan (BTP). Seramai lebih 40 ahli hadir untuk mendengar taklimat ini.

TCC 2011 is a copyrights trade fair for the ASEAN region. It is one of the key event under the KL International Book Fair (KLIBF), which is the largest consumer oriented book fair in Malaysia.

TCC 2011 will run for 4 days - from Wednesday, 20th to Saturday, 23rd of April 2011. It will open its door 2 days earlier than the KL International Book Fair.

TCC 2011 will take place at level 5, Putra World Trade Centre. The whole level 5 will be use for the trade fair. There will be amenities like lounge, wifi, secretariat personals to help the participants and trade visitors.

Kunjungan ini diketuai oleh Encik Law King Hui, Presiden MABOPA, Tuan Haji Kamaluddin, Encik Kow Ching Chuan, Tuan Haji Sahari dan Puan Sabariah Abdullah pada 17 Febuari 2011 yang lalu di Pejabat Perbadanan Harta Intelek Malaysia, Wisma UOA, Bangsar.

On 4 November 2009, the President of MABOPA, Mr. Law King Hui was appointed the President of ASEAN Book Publishers Association (ABPA). The appointment was done during the 5th ABPA General Meeting at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Among the topics discussed were Peruntukan-peruntukan akta yang berkaitan dengan kawalan penerbitan di Malaysia; Kandungan Akta Mesin Cetak & Penerbitan 1984; Bentuk-bentuk kesalahan bawah Akta Mesin Cetak & Penerbitan; Perkara-perkara yang berkaitan dengan kawalan terhadap penerbitan di Malaysia among others.

It was a fruitful get-together session with more than 50+ members turned up, and we hope that members would now be able to get in touch directly with the Matrade team.

Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia (MBKM) menjemput para penerbit untuk mencalonkan buku terbitan masing-masing bagi Anugerah Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia 2007 (ABKM 2007).

Dear members, we are collecting data for our new directory project in year 2008.

The Government has progressively increased the access as well as reduced the cost of education. Last year, the examination fees for PMR, SPM and STPM were abolished. The only remaining fees are the examination fee for Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia and the annual fee for primary and secondary schools. Effective 2008, all these fees will be abolished. I also wish to announce that, beginning the 2008 school session, the Text Book Loan Scheme will be provided to all students, irrespective of their families’ income and with no restrictions on the number of eligible children. With this, 5.7 million students will benefit from this Scheme compared with 4.5 million students currently. With these measures, schooling in Malaysia is now completely free.
